[Update - January 2021 Program Delivery] Confederation College is an approved Designated Learning Institution with a Ministry-approved COVID Readiness Plan. In accordance with our approved COVID Readiness plan, all incoming students must have their arrival date approved by the IEC before making any flight bookings. Arriving students MUST also quarantine at an approved residence. What does this mean for existing and new students currently outside of Canada?... You will be eligible to travel to Canada if you have a valid study permit. Prior to making any flight bookings, you must contact the IEC to receive authorization for your travel dates, to discuss your quarantine plan and to confirm your quarantine accommodation. The first travel period is reserved for new students with study permits, who are required to be here by January, and current students, with an approved study permit, who are entering semester two in January. Students must arrive between November 18th and December 5th, or after January 3rd. Approved travel periods will be spread over the winter semester. Many students will start their program online from home and will be approved for arrival later in the semester. This is not such bad news, as these students will then miss the coldest of our winter weather. PLEASE NOTE: The College will be closed over the Christmas period (Dec 24 Jan 3); students arriving in December must complete their quarantine by December 20th; no other student can arrive until January 4th. All information and communication with regard to quarantine and international travel should be directed to: [email protected]. Please include the following in your email: Student number (or OCAS application number: please contact your agent, or the school representative for this number); Your program and semester you are entering in January (e.g. IBM, Semester 2); Confirmation of study permit status; and Your preferred travel dates. Please remember to upload your most up-to-date visa approval documents to your OCAS account. As you can well appreciate, we are in a period of great uncertainty with rapidly changing developments.
