We all knew handing out borrowed money would take longer than expected. https://vancouversun.com//vaughn-palmer-premier-horgan-ple
Today is the day .. Your Vote = Your Voice
We went into this snap election with all polls showing the NDP with an 80%+ chance of forming a majority, and it appears they were correct after a long night. We want to thank everyone for their support over the last month, and the voters who believed in our platform, and trusted us with those votes. We are very proud of the Conservative Party team, who dropped everything in their lives to run, and proud of our campaigns which were about the opportunity to represent people. We have heard from tens of thousands of people across B.C., and this has been an amazing opportunity to hear what people expect from their Governments today and into the future.
Putting people over party politics #Conservatives
While the days of a brand new, 300-employee sawmill are over, said Milobar, small towns can diversify and establish industry based on where the town is headed, such as tourism Dennis Giesbrecht, however, didn’t agree. I believe we can get proper investment in this province with the right incentives, with the right policies, with the right tax structure, we can bring those jobs back, he said, adding people aren’t using less pulp or minerals.... New technologies, such as methane capture (absorbing methane from the atmosphere and burning it for energy use) and bioenergy, are examples, said Giesbrecht, of ways to use our environment to boost industry in rural communities.
Natural Gas exploration in B.C. is held in the highest of regard globally. We must ensure our industries that provide thousands of jobs to British Columbians and billions of dollars in revenue are championed for. We will be that champion under our Made In BC plan.
With BC Conservatives in the legislature, who are listening to the real needs and concerns of the people they represent, the days of an ‘Us vs. Them’ old party system will come to an end. We will change how ‘politics’ is done, and through a ‘people first’ priority we will regain the trust of British Columbians in their Government; something which has been lost over the last three decades through a two-party system. https://www.bcconservative.ca/we_will_change_how_politics_i
Curious on where you vote tomorrow? This handy link will get you to the right place.
PLEASE SHARE ... Cancer clinics, new hospitals, more seniors care and the like shouldn’t be a carrot on the end of the stick during an election campaign https://www.bcconservative.ca/cancer_clinics_new_hospitals_
British Columbians from the top of the province to the tip of the island have shared with us that they feel the Government needs to do more, that they deserve more. Over a year ago our platforms were created by people for people, that will never change. Tomorrow while you cast your vote, remember that’s your voice .. your voice for status quo, or your voice for change. #PeopleNotParties #TrueBlue #bcpoli
Switching it local ... congrats to our Leader and Candidate for Peace River North, Trevor Bolin on his Best City Councillor award. Trevor has been a councillor in Fort St John for 12+ years, first running for election at the age of 28. He often jokes he may have been the youngest City Councillor at the time.
We are proud of our local candidates in 19 ridings all across B.C., and are excited for the opportunities ahead in representing them provincially.
See everyone on Friday!
