WE ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS *BOTH* studios will start running low intensity group fitness, barre, and yoga classes STARTING THIS WEEKEND! MAHOGANY!Can you believe it’s a been a year?! We have been working hard behind the scenes and we literally cannot wait to show you our new and improved studio - trust us you won’t believe your eyes! Over the next couple days we will reveal some photos and class specifics, but for now, our class offerings starting this Saturd...ay are: LIIT (Low Intensity Interval Training) TRX-X (a low intensity TRX and SKILLMILL fusion class) Upper Body Strength Training Lower Body Strength Training 10/10/10 (a 30 minute class of a surprise mixture of low intensity strength and low intensity cardio exercises) BarreX (Barre, with a TRX instead of a barre) OKOTOKS We are BACK, with a full barre and WARM yoga (HELLO Infrared Red panels and Himalayan Salt wall!) The schedules will be LIVE for booking tonight at 8:00pm!! Expiries on 10 packs are GONE so book away! We hope you are all okay, healthy, and have loved ones close to you that you can see. Get outside, keep moving, get sweaty a couple times a week, do yoga, try meditating. Here we go again. Our provincial update today includes mandatory shut down of group fitness. Starting TOMORROW, all classes at the Rec Centre and Okotoks will be cancelled for a minimum of two weeks. This is not the the news we wanted. While we take COVID extremely seriously, and we fully support taking measures to lower numbers and ease overwhelm on our health care system, we have to say that we feel group fitness is being unfairly targeted. Covid transmission in fitness fa...cilities has been extremely low - 0.01% in fact. Since reopening Okotoks in July, and Bonavista in October, have hosted over 700 group fitness classes and have not had single COVID case in our studios. We want to assure you that we feel 100% confident in your health and safety if you’ve attended our studios since we reopened. And we know your mental health has been taken care of as well. With that being said, we will follow government and AHS guidelines and watch updates closely, and will reopen and get back to it as soon as we can. ________________________________________ WANT TO STAY ACTIVE FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS?? TWO NEW WORKSHOPS STARTING THIS WEEK! YOGA FOR HEALTHY BACKS AND SHOULDERS: This 4 week program is designed to support active people in their active lifestyles. The focus is on reducing tension, increasing mobility, and realigning, lengthening and strengthening the spine, as well as building deep core strength.... Critical Alignment Therapy (CAT) is a highly effective way of working with injury, pain or poor physical movement patterns. It is a beneficial practice that will help to reduce pain from repetitive strain injuries, back injuries, postural pain and discomfort. It is also a great practice to increase and maintain general physical wellness and sports performance.This series will focus on the spine and related musculature, and includes a spinal strap for you to take home for the month. You will find that as you begin to release the tension in the muscles surrounding the spine, the effects will extend outward to the rest of the body. FOUNDATIONS OF FLOW Vinyasa, or flow, is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath. This foundational 4 week series is for people who have active lifestyles, and want to learn how to practice yoga safely, strongly, and effectively. You’ll learn the essential poses and techniques, while still experiencing movement and flow. Great for beginners looking to play with rhythm and pace safely on the yoga mat! Also great for anyone looking to slow it down and get back to basics. . . . Please bring a water bottle and your own yoga mat, if possible.
