Welcome to our new reception desk at the Cornerstone Motel! After a long awaited upgrade the reception desk has been brought back to life again with cleaner, more up-to-date look and feel! I was out for a ride on the Cabot Trail just 15 minutes away from our Motel and low and behold, a young moose calf (maybe 2 years old) pops out of the woods and starts eating dinner on the side of the roadway... watched him for 20 minutes and he didn't seem to mind becoming a celebrity! As a matter of fact, he stayed here for over 30 minutes taking in the crowd that gathered..! Mother nature at it's finest!!

We had a riding group in last night, the #CabotTrailBiker.com Tour of Cape Breton and this was them leaving this morning after a great night's sleep! The group of 11 bikes is on a 5 day guided tour lead by Daniel Ross (Cabot Trail Biker) and included people like Vickie "Motoress" Grey and several writers and other amazing folks! After the lobster boil in the evening at the Cornerstone Motel, Cheticamp NS there was a camp fire and good fun had by all. So great to see motorcycl...e enthusiasts taking advantage of our wonderful island and scenic views. There was plenty of space here at the Cornerstone Motel and the group got the full use of our amazing facilities! Looking forward to the next time their tour comes out this way!!
