To allow schools to properly prepare for a safe reopening, we have allowed some flexibility in reopening dates. Eastmain, Oujé-Bougoumou, Nemaska, Waskaganish, and Wemindji will reopen their Youth Sector schools on August 27. Chisasibi, Mistissini, Waswanipi, and Whapmagoostui will reopen their Youth Sector schools on Monday, August 31.... The Cree School Board is pleased to announce that 70 students earned their Secondary School Diploma through summer school. In total, 243 CSB students graduated Secondary V this past school year. Wow! Congratulations to our students, families, communities and schools on this achievement.

You may see some friendly faces soon around your community. Elephant Thoughts tutors are assisting with in-person summer school for students in Waswanipi, Mistissini, Chisasibi, Waskaganish and Wemindji. Two tutors will arrive in each community in the next day or so. Please be advised that these individuals will be living in the same unit, and will observe 14-day isolation rules. Summer school begins for Sec V (and some Sec 4) students on Monday July 13, 2020. If you have questions, please email [email protected]
