Despite knowing that posting the graphic photos we’ve received will catch your attention, I will spare you this horror. But please Canada we MUST demand legisla...tive change!!! This cannot be allowed to continue, Saturday June 13th a Ukrainian Airline loaded 572 animals into a plane bound for Toronto at 32 degrees!!!! 47 of those animals died! Mostly to supply brokers ONE of which bought 32 frenchie pups for resale! These poor innocent animals will be hitting places like kijiji many already have befor even recovering. Education is NOT enough!!! We need laws to protect the innocent as greed and corruption are winning! Ukrainian air is publicly calling Abby Lorenzen a liar. (Her post is public if you wish to see the whole story) The full story is about to hit the media thanks to her work and dedication. I’ll share addresses where to write province wide. THIS is our chance for change, we need more than your sympathy and compassion! This is not the first shipment and will not be the last if WE do not demand change now!!! https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/contact/menu-eng.html https://www.inspection.gc.ca///1546627816321/1546627838025 https://www.flyuia.com/ca/en/welcome

"Our priority is the preservation of these endangered brachycephalic breeds which all are National Heritages, and the protection of the interests of responsible breeders (vs individual puppy-producers, who are not falling under any regulations in the country). Obviously, the FCI is also strictly against registered breed-crossing, which boils down to simply cheating hundreds of years of history. Due to its simplicity and advantage to produce results in the short run, outcrossing is a popular concept for refreshing the gene pool, but it also bears unforeseeable consequences on the gene pool of the breed(s)."

The author of this article Diana Andersen famous author and photographer took time to interview several seasoned French bulldog breeders and thus is conveying a very comprehensive picture of the breed which should help us to share it with anyone wishing to know more about the breed before considering purchasing one.It should also help with understanding more about FAD colors.

It is a common misconception among pet owners that bones are good for their dogs teeth. Aside from the gastrointestinal upset bones can cause, they are not an ...appropriate chew toy for pets. Animal bones, antlers, horns and hooves are much too hard to chew on and will break teeth and damage the gums. Dogs teeth are no stronger or harder than human teeth, and therefore are not equipped to chew on hard objects such as bones, large rawhide chews or hard nylon toys. Chewing on such things can lead to slab fractures (pictured below) which require lengthy dental procedures to extract. VOHC approved dry treats and chew toys should be offered as they are safe for dogs teeth. Daily brushing and/or feeding veterinary prescribed dental diets are the most efficient and safest ways of cleaning your pets teeth. #DentalDisease #DentalMonth #dentalawareness #DailyBrushing #dentalfood #homedentalcare #dogs #cats #strathroyontario #strathroyvet #caradocvet #londonontario #lndont See more

"Unfortunately, Dozer & his family learned the hard way that corn cobs arent safe for dogs - EVER. Despite how much you think your dog may chew a corn cob, it...s NEVER okay to feed these to them. Their body isnt able to break down the corn cob & they get trapped in the intestines, resulting in a very sad, sick pooch that will likely require surgery. Corn cobs are one of the most common foreign bodies that we remove from dogs! Please spread the word by sharing this post." - The team at New Ulm Regional Veterinary Center See more

This used to be a rope toy. It suddenly went missing about a week ago, and then the dog it belonged to stopped eating . . . and then stopped pooping . . . and s...tarted whining. One exploratory surgery later, this is what that rope toy looks like now. And it smells even worse. Moral of the Story: Rope toys are a little-known safety hazard. Pets can swallow the strands, which then become tangled inside their intestines and can pose a danger to their health. Toss the rope and skip the surgery. See more
