Burn, baby, burn! This week Crowsnest Pass Fire Rescue members discussed fire dynamics and fire behaviour utilizing a four-compartment Palmer’s Box (also referred to as a dollhouse). The dollhouse provides a visual aid for firefighters, demonstrating fire dynamics, fire behaviour, and the effects of ventilation. It also provides firefighters with the opportunity to practice reading smoke, predict backdrafts and flashovers, and discuss structural firefighting tactics.
The Fire Ban has been lifted from the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass. A fire advisory remains in effect. For more information visit https://www.albertafirebans.ca
