It has been a bumpy start to this little one's time here. From being born during the second wave "lockdown", having some physical injuries occur during delivery and then to top it off, I was admitted to the hospital with a pulmonary embolism right before his first Christmas. I'm home now and recovering and found some energy this afternoon to grab a couple of photos but quickly played out. Here's my favorite out of the few that I managed to get. Anyhoo.... All the best to all of you in 2021!!

What a wonderful surprise to get Christmas cookies delivered to my door today from this beautiful little lady! With the arrival of baby Brye on the 30th and all of the COVID related restrictions that are in place, I'm not ready for it to be Christmas this year. I have no decorations out/up including the tree and finding the time/energy to bake up Christmas goodies has been daunting. I'd rather edit a beautiful picture of Miss Elaina when the baby is asleep Are you ready for Christmas? It's only a week away!!

Friends, Family! Last August, Darian, Kimberlie and I participated in the project below. Due to COVID the physical gallery/vote (which was to take place in Idaho) was cancelled so they adapted and now the gallery and vote is digital!! Voting is closed now and results are in a new post! These are our entries!

Had an opening last night, so I messaged a friend and we headed out for some princess session magic with her girls. The Alberta sunset did not disappoint!! I HAD to edit one before I started my day today :P Im about an hour or so behind now How stunning is this Princess??

Ive been busy busy with family sessions and I love it! Its so great to see families grow over the years and this crew is a prime example!! Its so fun capturing so many personalities in one picture. Ever wonder about what goes on "behind the scenes?" of a photo shoot? Well heres an example!! Once the shoot is done, the images are reviewed and the most perfect ones are selected to receive that something extra special. Each image has something unique to it that I try to bring out. It can be time consuming but its so worth the end results <3

I love it when a plan comes together!! It was a great evening with Shae and Kandra down in Indian Battle Park. A big thanks to my coworkers Gerry for the VW and Kevin for the wide lens. This set wouldnt have turned out like it did without either!!

Im excited to announce that our family is growing by one this November! Today was our gender reveal (can see the results in my Instagram stories). I had Meagan of Freckles & Flour create our cake. It was AMAZING in all the ways! Of course I had to take some pictures ;) Go and check her out! If youre in the Taber area, I definitely recommend her for your cake needs!! With that said, if you have thoughts of booking sessions, get them booked now! I will only be taking limited spots into October and then Ill be on a break for a few months!!

Fundraising event for a very important cause!!

Heads up, LONG POST, but important!!! Now that Alberta has made successful steps towards #flatteningthecurve and we are looking to get back to life, maybe not so much as we knew it, but were getting back to something, there are a few changes to the way that were going to be handling sessions. Our in person planning sessions will now have to take place via video chat. We can still sip tea together, but digitally.... All of our sessions will take place in the great outdoors. This isnt a big change as the majority of our sessions are booked this way anyway! Yay! We will have to maintain a 6 foot distance from each other while shooting. While I usually have an assistant (either my hubby or my teenager) along to help me out, they will no longer be able to help you out, so I recommend bringing a family member along for those little things, like holding a jacket or fixing clothes. My assistant and I will wear face masks during the session. Plus side of this new fashion accessory, the smiles on your face will be genuine because I look funny in them, just saying. Once the session is complete and the images are edited, youll receive an online gallery to review your images. From there you can favorite the ones that you wish to purchase, whether its digital files or print products. If you are wishing to purchase those precious print products, we can hop back on that video chat that we used to set up your session to go over the wall art options that are available to you! Once your artwork is purchased and printed, it will be delivered directly to your door step via courier. So, the biggest change and probably the hardest for me, is not being able to sit and chat with you face to face while we brainstorm ideas and then laugh and "oooo" and "ahhh" together as we go through images when our session is complete. I hope you continue to keep us in mind when it comes time to take that family picture, when you need to feel special or just because you could use a new Facebook picture that will blow everyone away ;) I love you all and miss you tons. ~Crystal

This photo was the first image of Joanne s that drew me to her work. Since then, Ive attended her workshop and had the opportunity to work one on one with her. Last night was the opening gala for the Lethbridge Traveling Dress Project & Exhibition, yellow dress edition, at Mortar & Brick Arts and Events. It really is an honour to be featured with so many talented photographers from our area. All of the pieces were beautiful and so different from each other. It was amazing to experience them all in the same space. Thank you so much Lorelei Hoffarth Photography and all those involved with organizing this project. Here is a bit ab...out the process I went through and the images that I used to create "Three". I was so excited to participate in this project. I knew right from the beginning that I wanted more than one subject. This would allow me to showcase individual personalities. At the same time I wanted them to all be featured in one eye catching image. One dress, three women, three days of shooting, at different time of day to accommodate schedules. Getting creative was the only way that was going to happen. My end result was not my original plan, but Im very happy with how it turned out. I was very nervous putting the composite piece out to the world as I really havent shared those kind of images let alone printing them in wall art size. And on top of that, its pretty much on display for the foot traffic of downtown Lethbridge to walk by everyday (my main piece is on a wall right in the street facing window). I hope that it is enjoyed by many while it has time there <3 I have to extend a big thank you to Jordan Peterson, Nevada Cronkite and Maddy Young for being my muses. Huge props to Senaya Kaip for doing Jordans makeup and also for assisting with lighting. Much love to Erin Kinney for Maddys makeup.
