Here’s a perfect reason why you should always do some due diligence before selecting just any contractor. We were doing work on an electric boiler and saw this propane fired water heater beside it. The vent piping here is not rated for propane or gas and aluminum tape is certainly NOT an approved joint. This just doesn’t look horrible it can be deathly dangerous. If the installers aren’t getting permits and or inspections I’d be very wary. Yours or someone else’s life could depend on it.
