What's with the holes in the middle of saddles? Well... They're more comfortable (in some cases) The channels and holes increase ventilation and decrease pressure on the delicate soft tissues in the area. So, should you rush out and buy one now? Not necessarily. ... These seats are designed for more aggressive riding positions - like what you experience in mountain biking and road cycling. But even then, saddles are very much a matter of personal preference. If you're comfortable, we say carry on with what you've got. But, if you're experiencing numbness, soreness, or saddle sores around those 'delicate parts', it's worth considering a new saddle. Bear in mind that saddle angle, seat height, and bike fit more generally all make a difference too! Reach out if you need any help making that bike of yours more comfortable!
