Another favourite quarantine past-time. . I have to give these kids and all kids out there kudos for being home all day everyday. It took some time for the kids (actually all of us) to figure out what it really meant to be bored...then really bored...then angry because there was nothing to do (and snacks every 10 minutes weren’t cutting it). And then something magical happened, boredom turned into imagination and endless possibilities of play. Yes there were some poor decisions made by those brilliant brains. I walked into the grocery store for the first time in two weeks and I almost burst into tears. For some reason it all just really hit me like a ton of bricks seeing the changes that have been made. It’s easy to fall into times of doom and gloom, I worry that this makes us fear one another, separates and isolated those that need others the most. I know these changes are needed, we need to be staying home and doing everything possible to stop the spread. I’ve been reassigned in... my nursing role to help where I’m needed and seeing the changes that everyone has made at the hospital just blows me away. I am beyond grateful for all the support of myself and my colleagues. As much as we need to stay 6 feet apart, we have really come together for a greater good. So one day when this is all over I hope we don’t fear one another and we can walk happily together, hand-in-hand.
