Adding a 2nd LED strip as traditional cove lighting on top of the crown makes the dark-light shadows in the moulding more dramatic. The two LED strips are controlled with individual dimmers. Classical by Day, Magical by Night.

I have continued to experiment with integrating LED strips into classical crown moulding. I want the focal point to be the ornate patterns at night, not the plain white ceiling. I upgraded my large sample to a museum quality LED strip, much brighter, better color temperature and 300 LED lamps/meter to eliminate lamp hotspotting. My old consumer qualty LED was just 30 lamps/meter. I now have a continuous ribbon of light showcasing the design...exactly as I envisioned.
