De Havilland Canada and PAL Aerospace have announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly pursue the development of a fully missionized Dash 8-400 aircraft. Modified with auxiliary fuel tanks, the Dash 8 P-4 will have superior range, endurance, and time-on-station capability to support maritime patrol; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR); as well as other applications. We’re happy to announce the delivery of Ethiopian Airlines’ 31st Dash 8-400 aircraft. Ethiopian’s Dash 8-400 aircraft have transported more than 12 million passengers since introduction to the fleet in 2010 and the airline‘s network is enhanced by its strategic partnerships with ASKY Airlines, Malawi Airlines, Ethiopian Moçambique Airlines and Tchadia Airlines. Watch a time-lapse video of Dash 8-400 production at our Toronto manufacturing facility. The aircraft being painted joined the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and was inaugurated in December by the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina who dubbed it Dhrubotara. It will assist in establishing stronger connectivity with neighbouring countries and enhancing trade and business within Bangladesh.
