Anyone else buy bananas specifically to let them get overripe so you can make banana baked goods? Apparently I’m back to the banana bread phase of lock down. I just feel like trying new recipes and baking all day long. I played around with a banana muffin recipe today using browned butter it didn’t turn out exactly as I’d would have hoped, but they are still delicious. I held myself back and cut the butter in half, which was a huge mistake. Why would I ever think i...t was a good idea to hold back on browned butter?! Sigh. I’ll keep tweaking this recipe (along with all of my other lockdown inspired flops) and share it one day. But for now, here are some delicious looking muffins to maybe inspire you to finally use up those overripe bananas sitting in your fruit bowl

If you haven’t made homemade before, what are you waiting for?! It’s the easiest thing to make, and it tastes 100x better than any store bought version. I usually like it as a simple snack with ghee and sea salt, but sometimes it’s fun to get fancy with it. Flavour your butter with a spring of rosemary and a garlic clove while it’s melting ‘Nooch with chili powder is another favourite. ... But truffle anything on popcorn will always be my favourite truffle salt works well, but @blackmarketprovisions made my truffle dreams come true with this truffle dust. It’s makes a whole new level of truffle popcorn and it’s pure magic

Sea salt roasted almond and dark chocolate bark When you need a little somethin’ to get through those chocolate/PMS/snowy Tuesday cravings sometimes you just want a sweet treat, and you want it now, but also you don’t want to make a big mess... Enter chocolate bark. So quick and easy to throw together! The freezer helps move the process along so you’ll have a sweet and salty bark ready to go in under 30 minutes. ... Here’s what you’ll need: -1 cup dark chocolate chips -1 tsp coconut oil -1 tbsp cocoa powder (optional, but it gives it a richer chocolate flavour so I highly recommend it) -About 1/4 cup sea salt roasted almonds (I left them whole, because who wants to chop things and make more work? But feel free to give them a rough chop if you prefer!) Make it -melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a smal mixing bowl in 20 sec increments. Stir well each time and continue to microwave until the chocolate chips are melted and smooth. -add the cocoa powder and mix well until combined. Add the almonds and stir to coat. -pour chocolate onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Use a spatula to smooth it out. -Place in the freezer to harden for 20-30 mins. Once hardened you can break the bark into pieces and store in the fridge. Enjoy!
