Je m'appelle Émilie Laurin, directrice en audit et certification au bureau de Saguenay. j'ai choisi Deloitte car c'était un monde de possibilités par le fait qu'on peut y faire la carrière que l'on veut. La variété des mandats qu'on peut faire et la diversité de la clientèle fait en sorte qu'on ne s'ennuie jamais. Ce que j'aime particulièrement c'est qu'on a la chance de relevé de nouveaux... défis vu que nos tâches et responsabilités évoluent rapidement chez Deloitte. L'avantage de travailler au bureau de Saguenay c'est qu'on travaille avec des clients de diverses envergures. Je me décris comme une entrepreneure et conseillère en TI ayant un esprit stratégique, qui adore collaborer avec des clients ...diversifiés et qui tire parti de compétences éprouvées en technologies et en consultation afin de former des équipes efficaces qui transforment les besoins d'affaires en solutions axées sur la valeur. Je possède plus de 15 ans d'expérience en consultation et je suis spécialisée dans la transformation d'entreprises au moyen des TI; j'aide les clients à adopter des approches pratiques lors de l'introduction de nouvelles idées ou innovations technologiques dans leur organisation. Mis à part la consultation, j'aime bien l'entraînement par intervalles à haute intensité, le vélo/spinning et à peu près tout ce qui se rapporte aux sports. Passer du temps avec ma petite famille est ce qui me rend le plus heureuse, ce qui signifie passer beaucoup de temps dans les arénas de ma collectivité et dans des parcs pour chiens! Memories from Orange Shirt Day last year at our Toronto office. Today is Orange Shirt Day. Earlier this month Deloitte Indigenous and the Indigenous and Allies Community had the pleasure of hosting Phyllis Webstad, a residential school survivor and the inspiration behind Orange Shirt Day. This is an important day for us all to gain a better understanding of the legacy of residential schools, and to reaffirm to survivors that they matter and that #everychildmatters #fosterinclusion

Deloitte and TRIEC teamed up to support recent immigrants with international experience at the Deloitte-TRIEC Virtual Event on September 17. This was a valuable... opportunity for newcomer mentees at TRIEC Mentoring Partnership to gain insights about the context of consulting firms in the Greater Toronto Area as well as network in small groups with Deloitte employees. Having a moderator Daisy Vora, Alibet Caliman, Baskaran Rajamani, Henry Oboro participated in a panel discussion on the employee experience at Deloitte and job search strategies for newcomer professionals. Over 50 participants joined conversations on a range of topics, including industry insights, interview strategies, hiring channels, resume coaching, and tips to network successfully in the networking session.
