Hi there, I’m Cook(ie)! I found myself at DVAC when I got a urinary blockage which was very painful and life threatening my previous family couldn’t afford the surgery, but thankfully they were nice enough to surrender me to DVAC to help me get better and find a new furever home! I’ve been unblocked now for about a month, and so far so good! As much as I love everyone at DVAC, I’m finally ready to leave and start my new life. I’m a chill, laid back guy who loves nothing bu...t to lay beside you and watch TV. I can be really shy at the beginning, so I please ask that you give me some space and patience until I’m ready to let you in. Once I trust you I won’t leave you alone! So far I haven’t really liked any other cats and although I haven’t come face to face with a dog, they haven’t gotten me as angry as smelling another cat in the house. I look forward to finding my new furever family! ****Cook(ie) is a 2 year old, neutered shy guy. He was severely blocked when he was brought to us, and after a long 2 hour surgery, Cook(ie) was successfully unblocked and managed on fluids and urinary catheter for 48 hours. So far (knock on wood) everything is going well his blood work shows his kidneys are perfect again and as long as he’s on his strict veterinary urinary food, he shouldn’t have any further issues. Cook(ie) is a unique, special guy and although we hate to see him go, we know he deserves the best home and cannot wait to show people how loving he really is!
