Back in Time for Christmas There are many variations of the Danish Rice Pudding. This is one that continues to be enjoyed by the descendants of Soren and Emelie (Millie) Jensen who farmed south of Dickson along the river. What is your family's variation or recipe? Please share your Christmas recipes and traditions to [email protected] for inclusion on this page. Glaedelig Jul!
Another activity in our area, to help make this season special. Support our local establishments, and residents and take the family out for a ride with Richard. https://www.facebook.com/100006375847949/posts/2594353157453854/
While we are currently working quietly behind locked doors, we would like to urge everyone to take advantage of what others in the community are doing to make Christmas special during this difficult time. https://www.facebook.com/181459329426075/posts/683306439241359/

It is with great sadness that we share this with you. Ardis was involved with the Dickson Heritage Society from it's inception. Her contributions to both the Dickson Store Museum and the Danish Canadian Museum were immeasurable. There will be many remembrances of Ardis in the store museum, as her skill as a seamstress helped decorate the museum as you see it today. As recently as last spring, Ardis sewed several new aprons for the staff at the museum, and we could always c...ount on Ardis for a lovely handmade contribution to our silent auctions. Ardis was well know for her participation in community events, as well as to her dedication to her church community and choir. Ardis enhanced many an event with her lovely singing. Ardis was raised in Dickson, by parents Soren Norre and Ruth (Thomsen) Norre. The pioneer cabin at the Danish Canadian museum, was built by her uncle Elmer Thomsen. Ardis spent many hours lovingly refurbishing this cabin, in which she had lived for a few years with her family. Our deepest condolences to all of the Bramall and Thomsen families, of whom there are many surviving relatives. https://www.tributearchive.com//1897/Ardis-Carolyn-Bramall See more
