Every Year Now, Dabber Man & I Go Downtown in December, & Give Pairs of Socks To Toronto 's Homeless. We Started the Toronto Chapter of "Project Purses". The Donations & Amount of Volunteers were a Huge Success!! ....Here's what Wasn't... The Homeless People Didn't want them. And, it left Men out. Which, if you actually go Downtown Searching for Less Fortunate. Its Mostly Men out there. Year 2. We Came back with "Backpacks for the Homeless" ....Something for Everyone!! .....The Homeless Didn't want them. Year 3. We Made up 100 Bags of Food for Toronto's Homeless. ....Some took them. Many didn't want them. Here's How *Socks For the Homeless* was born - AND - Has Stuck Around Since..... We Actually LISTENED TO THEM! Sounds SO Simple Right???? Yet - We As People Assume We Know what others Want/Need. And we Don't LISTEN. ALL the Homeless Citizens of Toronto we've Come Across over the Years Asked the SAME Question; "You got Socks in there?" So...... We Did a Fundraiser & Headed down there with Socks. 3 pairs per person. Rolled up nicely. ......Sooooooo Many Were overcome with Emotion. There Were Tears. (From us too) There were Repeated Shouts Of Gratefulness! There was JOY!!!
