This is truly a sad day for Small Businesses. All bars, as well as other social gathering places, have been ordered by the provincial government to shut their doors until further notice. I fear many businesses will not survive and will be forced to shut down permanently without cash flow. The Dive Bar has the absolute best staff that anyone could ask for. They are truly stars. Our little bar is not just a bar. It’s a gathering place for everyone. We don’t cater to t...his crowd or that crowd. We cater to everyone. It’s a place where the inner city’s less fortunate can come in to warm up, and have a cup of coffee, or a beer. They know they are safe here. Teachers come here during teacher conferences. Concert goers do their Pre-concert drinking here before heading to the Edmonton Conference Centre. But, WE WILL SURVIVE this damn Covid-19. And when the government says we can open our doors back up, look out, we are going to throw a huge Dive Bar PARTY!! In the meantime, stay safe everybody. Enjoy this extra time with your loved ones. And if you don’t have loved ones you can spend time with, know that the Dive Bar loves you, and are eagerly waiting to serve you!!
