In support of the Bow Valley SPCA I will be leading a public session 'Understanding Dog Body Language and Communications' on January 26th, 2015. All proceeds go to the shelter.
Dog Matters is now able to support your dog training and behavior improvement opportunities. We look forward to meeting with you and your four legged friends!
Dog Matters will temporarily be unable to support your dog training and behavior opportunities. We look forward to soon be able to do so!
I have had a wonderful foster dog here for 4 days. She is seeking a new home and has been a joy to interact with and have a great big wagging tail goign all the time.
So here is a video on how to introduce a brain game - similar to the one we are selling to raise money for BVSPCA Basic instructions on how to introduce the game to your dog and how to progress to more complicated play can be found by following this link http://youtu.be/7iLYKRkz9g4
Here is a photo of one of the shelter dogs demonstrating the Brain Game - Spirit is available for adoption and a game can go home with her. Otherwise games are $30.00
Dog Brain Games are now available with all proceeds going to support the BVSPCA. Have some fun with your dog, build a better relationship while you build their focus, attention and self control skills. Contact either the BVSPCA or Dog Matters for more information. Photos to come shortly.

The lazy days of summer are over - or almost over. Just the right time for a little relaxing.
We've been having some great success calming very excitable dogs with positive focus work. Such good success that walking on leash without pulling has been experienced in one session. Now it will just be practice and consistency to keep it up. Look for our exciting and educational public semianrs starting this fall.
