Today for #featurefriday we’re looking at Hamilton Musicians' Guild ___ Local 293, AFM. This group, created in 1903, supports over 700 local musicians in Hamilton and the surrounding area. They provide advocacy, insurance access, and professional services to their membership, who in turn, provide the public with beautiful music! As participants in the Hamilton Music Advisory Team, they have recently succeeded in implementing a standard pay scale for musicians performing at city-sanctioned events. Our partnership with the Musicians' Guild has led to many music-filled afternoons in Gore Park. We look forward to continuing to pay all of our musicians a fair wage because they are so worth it! #hamont #hamontmusicscene

Sad news #hamont... Amusement rides have been prohibited in stage RED and as such we will not be able to run the Ferris Wheel this year. We are of course disappointed but it is important that we keep everyone safe!
