Are You Suffering From Diabetes (High Blood Sugar Levels)? Or mental health problems like depression and anxiety? what causes diabetes? "Diabetes is a number of diseases that involve problems with the hormone insulin. Normally, the pancreas (an organ behind the stomach) releases insulin to help your body store and use the sugar and fat from the food you eat. Diabetes can occur when the pancreas produces very little or no insulin, or when the body does not respond appropriately to insulin. Well I can’t deny the fact that the herbal treatments ain’t effective, but they are backed with their own side effects. There are a lot many measures that are to be considered and... followed with having a herbal therapy or supplement. They are not harmful if taken in a correct quantity or ratio ( which me differ treatment to treatment ). Therefore, if you consider using any plant products as a treatment for anxiety or depression, discuss it with your doctor first. Your doctor will help you to understand the benefits and risks better and assist you to choose a suitable herbal supplement. Estrogen Dominance-Hormone Imbalance To understand estrogen dominance, we have to consider the role of another important hormone, progesterone. Progesterone and estrogen maintain an often tricky seesaw in our bodies. Prior to menopause, the balance shifts at different stages of the menstrual cycle. Estrogen dominance isn't necessarily a surge of estrogen but an imbalance in that seesaw. Simply put, estrogen dominance happens when the seesaw tips to one side because there is not enough progesterone to balance out the estrogen. Are You Estrogen Dominant? Estrogen plays an important role in the course of our reproductive lives and beyond. It regulates our menstrual cycle, strengthens our bones, controls our cholesterol, and much more. When our estrogen levels drop, we experience menopausal symptoms. But even before menopause, varying levels of this vital hormone can wreak havoc. That's because estrogen requires a delicate balance with other hormones. I've been recently seeing a lot of patients in my practice who deal daily with anxiety from the #coronavirus outbreak. These are generally people who have had a history of #anxiety and #depression and the current news about this virus is making things worse for them. They are either concerned for their own health or the health of those around them (especially if they have friends/ families in the highly affected areas of the world). Although you should definitely prepare and ...take precautions to prevent the virus, you should also keep yourself #calm. I always say it's best to prepare for the worst, but #hope for the best. If anyone around you is suffering from #anxiety related to this #outbreak (or in general anxiety) here is how you should talk to them: Thank you for telling me how you’re #feeling. How can I take the pressure off you? How can I better support you? I understand. You’re not alone. I hear you. Please stop giving advices about why and how they should not be feeling #anxious. I know you care for them, but that’s not the way to go about it. Together we can make this world a better place. Act responsibility for your #health, take precautions seriously and always keep your beautiful #smile on. When someone is sharing something with you, they are taking the #risk to be #vulnerable with you. It’s about their #experience and that's what we should focus on. Please don't make this experience harder for them. Let me know if you think I can help someone out there. #naturopathicmedicine #naturopathicdoctor #wellness #Telemedicine See more

Mental Health- Anxiety and Depression As we are in the winter season, you might notice that your mood is going down. If you are feeling depressed or down, you may increase the good bacteria in your gut.
