Flossing is one of the most important dental habits you can instill in your child. It might seem like a daunting task, especially in addition to brushing, but it’s well worth it! Flossing helps get all the debris out from between your teeth. Brushing alone can only do so much. Without flossing, the debris trapped between teeth can decay and cause cavities. Flossing gets rid of plaque on teeth, giving a clean, white and healthy smile. Getting your child to start flossing at a young age sets them up for a lifetime of good dental habits.

Healthy Halloween Snacking Tip: Set a ‘Treat Time’. To resist constant snacking, it is best to limit snacking to particular times of the day with your little ones. Frequent snackers are at greater risk of tooth decay as the mouth has constant acidic conditions that wear away at tooth enamel leading to cavities.... Bonus tip: A glass of water after eating a sugary treat will also help wash away some of the sugars and acids.
