***Announcement from CEO*** Our biggest announcement to date, our biggest venture yet It all started exactly one year ago when myself, Craig O’Regan, Sean Skaarup from BDC (Business Development Canada) and Youcef Lekadir from GMSPC (G. Michael Simpson Professional Corporation) met at Broadways right here in Ottawa. We were there to review a term sheet and determine a clear path to achieve a goal that we’ve had since the beginning of D-Squared, our very own Asphalt Plant righ...t here in the City of Ottawa. That day, Sean and BDC took a chance, they believed in us and we believed in ourselves - we would do anything to make this happen. Yesterday we received the news that our funding has been approved by BDC and was given the green light to begin construction, almost 1 year later. This process has brought many struggles (a global pandemic and the financial uncertainty that went along with it), triumphs and partnerships (Nicholas and Dino Giorgio of Byron Rental Properties Ltd. have joined us in the awesome project) that have been put to the test during this experience, but hey, no one said it would be easy. Over this last year, the heart and determination to get these approvals in motion will go down in the making of D-Squared Construction. Well everyone, we are proud to announce the opening of D-Squared’s first and the Ottawa regions newest as well as it’s most technologically and environmentally up-to-date Asphalt Plant coming in Spring of 2021 at 5455 Boundary Road. We are eager to provide high quality asphalt products as well offer new and much needed employment opportunities to the Ottawa Region and Eastern Ontario.
