For individuals living with diabetes, maintaining a healthy diet plays an important role in managing the disease. This includes limiting portion sizes and sugars, eating plenty of vegetables and avoiding highly processed foods. Most importantly, though, it means consulting your doctor before making any changes to your meal plan.
