Well folks! It’s officially spring! The freeze/thaw cycle has left us with trails that are mix of ice, corn snow, slush and gravel. These little scamps took me for a white knuckle ride over all of the above with a big grin on their faces. 4.5 km of Oh %#* ! Photo 1: Kavik, Sonic. Photo 2: Hazel, Sonic, Kavik
I think this article will resonate with a lot of East Coast Mushers! Any dog can do it! There are some New Brunswick mushing labs in there too.

Stay tuned...watch this upcoming episode about our Maritime mushers and their dogs!
The members of East Coast Mushing (a recreational mushing group) and their dogs had a group mush led by Heather Weatherhead and her horse Pheonix on their traditional hourse and sleigh at the St. Margrets Bay Rails to Trails. If you would like to follow East Coast Mushing like our public page: https://www.facebook.com/EastCoastMushing... We would like to thank the #SMBRailsToTrails Assocation for a world class trail system for all to enjoy. We would also like to thank Paul Morris Images by Paul Morris for the drone footage and N. Paul Servic for putting together this awesome video!! Lastly we want to thank all of the mushers and their amazing mushing dogs, who we all know got to go home to being pampered and spoiled after working hard along with their human on the trail. Keep in mind, ANY breed of dog can enjoy the sport of mushing!

Happy Thanksgiving East Coast Mushers. UPDATE on COVID-19 and the Celtic Shores Dryland Tour Weekend. We are keeping a close eye on the evolving Covid outbreak... in New Brunswick in the Moncton area. If the situation continues to escalate this week, we will cancel. We're in Zone 2 and still able to travel out of our zone as of today but I expect that won't last. See more
I thought I’d repost this awesome video for teaching and practicing Line Out, with fall training season upon us. Once your dog masters line out they’ll know how to stay out in front and keep tension on the bungee line. https://youtu.be/jeDo0vzuSuw
At long last, here's the official event post for the Celtic Shores Dryland weekend. Please see the ACCOMMODATIONS post if you're looking for a place to stay. There is a very affordable option that requires a bit of coordination. See the Discussion section of the event for posts on other basic information like directions, event plan, COVID-19 rules, activities, trail support and trail shuttle, Celtic Shores Trail information. I'm keeping this fairly informal and relaxed with the emphasis on fun and enjoyment. The discussion posts will go up over the course of the day.
Registration is now open. RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY!
Well THIS looks awesome!!! In The Pack, 12 teams of dogs and their owners will embark on an epic adventure across multiple continents. Each human competitor, along with their tough mutter, will face a series of obstacles and challenges. While the duos won't be racing through any airports a' la the CBS competition series, victories will depend on the team's "understanding of one another’s strengths and weaknesses" and they will have to prove they have "the strongest bond in the pack." https://www.msn.com//amazon-orders-a-show-tha/ar-BB17EuFd
