Waking up this morning to news that leaked overnight about an extension of the Ontario lockdown. Our provincial government somehow justifies shutting the doors of small business saying there are grants to help through these "unprecedented times" yet this is what happens. EVERY SINGLE SOLE PROPRIETOR who does not have a separate business account (which is almost every single sole proprietor) and who applies for this second round of the #smallbusinessgrant is being rejected. RE...JECTED! Refused funding that was promised to compensate for months of forced loss of income. Funding that could prevent the closure of business, save the loss of someone's home, put food on the table for their kids, cover the costs of utilities while doors are shut... It's not enough that we have to swallow our pride and take a hand out to keep the lights on, now we get a full slap in the face from the provincial government. How do we fight this? I am angry and tired. We need help and I don't know who to ask because the people that are supposed to help are the ones causing the problem.

It’s sunny, the seedlings are thriving, I am ready to plant! Just have to wait for the thermometer to catch up to my mood.

Normally our first big show of the year and will sadly be missed, yet again due to Covid. Looking forward to hitting it up in 2022!

We have been noticeably absent from social media lately, focussing our energy into the rebuild of the new workspace! Thank you for your messages and kind words! All is well except for the chaotic storage area temporarily crammed full of boxes and bins of supplies, materials, ingredients, and products. A little stressful but we know it won’t last and we can look forward to an Eco-Bee only workshop some time soon!

Happy 2021! We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their support during such a trying time. We’ve hung in through 2020 and can’t wait to see what the new year has in store! Please note, we will be temporarily closed for the month of January as we complete some much needed renovations to our workspace. We look forward to seeing you when we reopen in February, 2021!
