We are looking for GrainBag Recycling Contractors in the prairies. You must have a skid steer, grain bag roller, and trailer to be able to pick up rolled bags or provide rolling service to producers in your area. 75% of total job is paid to our contractors. We currently have a contractor in Blaine Lake that serves Northern Saskatchewan but am looking for about 5 more contractors for this spring. Its been a while since you've heard from us and I thought I would provide a bit of an update. We continue to push and stand that a EHF fee is not the answer to grain bag recycling for prairie farmers. What works for many recycling programs simply does not work for #grainbags Each year we have picked up more and more plastic, talked to more and more farmers, and have learned that they also believe the current program is flawed and wrong. Our dilemma is that a government regul...ation was written stating to offer a recycling program you MUST be approved by government. The criteria that we must meet to do this is achievable, however as young entrepreneurs the money required makes it impossible for us to achieve. With government denying every funding application because "there is already a program" and CleanFarms receiving 100% of the EHF Fee you pay it frustrates me beyond belief that our government will not support a LOCAL COMPANY wanting to build recycling facility. Our group is partnered with Saskatchewan Polytechnic to create a Made in Saskatchewan product, we know exactly what equipment we need to buy to do this, we have a team in place. We can eliminate a forced tax and instead implement a deposit so you get your money back when your bag gets recycled. Is this not something the #saskparty should be supporting?! With each passing year, we continue to push, we continue to speak out and gather support, and it is our hope that we can proceed and build our plant spring of 2021.
