Looks like this is going to be one of the best weekend yet this year. Perfect timing too as it just so happens to be Mothers Day on Sunday. Maybe a trip down to see the Falls?

In celebration of the birth of Prince William and Kate Middleton's baby boy, the Niagara Parks Commission has confirmed that the Falls will be lit up in blue several times throughout Monday night. The regular Falls illumination will take place throughout the evening as usual but will be made a solid blue for 15 min periods between 9 and 9:15pm. 10 and 10;15pm and between 11 and 11:15pm. If your in the area at the time it's always worth checking out the illumination.
COLIN JAMES, David Gogo & Steve Strongman will be playing at Safari Niagara this Friday, July 26th. http://www.ticketbreak.com/event_details/6110
Amazing Race Canada starts July 15th. Many of us saw the Cars and backpacks down by the Oaks Garden Theatre back in early May, but finally, now into July, the show will be getting started on CTV. Doesn't look like any of the teams are from the Falls, however their is a "Canadian-famous" team taking part, Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod from the classic television fitness segments "Body Break" are racing along side most other unknowns. The host of the Canadian Amazing Race, John Montgomery is well known to many Canadians as the Gold winning Olympian in Skeleton and who also took a big swig from a pitcher of beer on his way to the podium, an only in Canada, great moment!
Looks like the weather is going to end up being great so we're heading down to watch the Fireworks over the Falls tonight to celebrate 4th of July. It's always a great show! Music starts at 8pm and fireworks @10pm.
10 reasons why we love our country's most clichéd landmark. (Because admit it - the Maid of the Mist is really kind of awesome.) http://www.travelandescape.ca/2013/07/photos-niagara-falls/ - Photo by Seattle's Travels
Happy Canada Day!
The concert yesterday in Niagara on the Lake was a great one. Little bit of rain during the Metric show however it didn't last too long to ruin anything.
As part of the Canada Day Long Weekend Celebrations in Niagara, we are heading to the Concert at Butler's Barracks in Niagara on the Lake Saturday. It should be a good time with City In Colour, Metric, Serana Ryder Jimmy Eat World and Yukon Blonde. Rain or Shine.. Let's hope for more shine than rain! Anyone else heading down to see the show?
Canada Day Long Weekend is coming up fast and we have put together some of the popular events going on. This is a great weekend to be in the Falls! http://www.everything-niagara-falls.com/Canada-Day-In-Niaga

Just a year after making his historic tight rope walk across Niagara Falls, Nik Wallenda will now be crossing the Grand Canyon. This time he will not be using any nets or safety harness. After seeing the kind of crowds that gathered in the Falls to watch the daredevil, I bet this one will be just as popular. The walk will be aired live Sunday June, 23rd @ 8pm eastern.... Find more details at the Discovery Channel's website below. http://www.discovery.ca/Showpage.aspx?sid=52475

Big Concert Announcement! Since last Summer's Tragically Hip show in Niagara-on-the Lake was such a big hit, it looks like the concert bug has bit the tow's planners. It was just announced that there will be another one day music fest on June 29th at Butler's Barracks (the location of last years hit show).... This time, the headliners will be City And Colour, featuring St. Catharines native Dallas Green. Other artists added to the day long concert will include Metric, Serena Ryder, Jimmy Eat World and Yukon Blond. General admin tickets are going for $49.50 and VIP tickets will also be available. We will be posting more information as the date gets closer. For more information on this, you can check out the short article from the Review's John Law. http://www.niagarafallsreview.ca//city-and-colour-serena-r
