This pretty poster is my own family (affectionately called the George & Barb poster)! I was on an Ancestry Road Trip with my sister and the day was just getting sunny when we visited this cemetery in Ormstown, Quebec. I took the photo of the church with my phone (!) and was able to use my graphic tools to make it large for the background and remove some parked cars. The photos of my 2xgreat grandparents combined with the church, including a stain glass window that memorialized them, makes the poster perfect. Note: Every circle includes a whole family. When a child marries a new generation and colour lengthens the branch. Big circles = big families, long branches = continued lines.

If you are in New York State please stop and take a moment to listen and then take action.

I had some fun today looking up all the places I have lived... a "Places Lived" history. I was inspired by a friend who also loves family history like me. Where are the places that you've called home? What brought you there and why did you move on? While we are busy researching family we overlook ourselves. Take a moment and try this yourself - make a little history of you

I like dresses but prefer pants most of the time. The only time my Gram wore pants was for messy outdoor work at the cottage. I am glad to have a free choice :)

So three crazy conference days at my desk and in the last class of the day I learn one new thing and 10 years of searching for a record end. Not a complete BRICKWALL victory but still I'm very happy. Thanks to the NYG&B :) Now to find their parents....
