Meet volunteer Pat Burnell, Pat is a long time FFN volunteer, fundraiser, adopter, supporter and her Puddy Products are amazing. Pat raises money through the sales of her Puddy Products. She spends hours and hours of her time on behalf of FFN. She has had garage sales, bake sales, mans craft tables all on her own. Her compassion for homeless cats and the cats in need of TLC is heartfelt. Nothing stops Pat Burnell, creator of Pats Puddy Products from creating. Pat is a huge supporter of Feline Friends Network and 100 % of the revenue from her creations goes directly to support the cats in our care. THIS LITTLE GAL was tossed out of a trunk with two small kittens on the sideroad behind Wildwood Conservation area on Wed. - thankfully a caring person came over the hill and saw what has happening. The two kitens were picked up and taken to the St. Marys vet clinic (eating and drinking like champs) and then picked up by the SPHS. Little mama here was not as easy to help...after that ordeal she wasn't so sure just who she could trust. On Friday FFN was contacted for help a...nd went out to the location where they were abandoned - after some searching in the bush and along the ditches we spotted her - set up the trap...threw a few morsels to her and then stood back and waited...only took her about 5 minutes to walk right into the trap and our care! (they are not all this easy to trap but she is just a kitten herself from the looks of her). BOOMER was caring for a litter of kittens under a porch in Milverton. She was a good mom with 3 happy, healthy, all orange kittens who have since been adopted. NOW its her turn. Since the kittens have moved out, Boomer had had a chance to relax and remember what its like to lounge around, enjoying the benefits of a soft bed and indoor life. Foster mom Jane confirms that Boomer loves affection and meets her at the door. She is still just a little bit shy and doesn't seem ...to want to get to know the resident kitty Zorro...she made that clear when he tried to enter her domain! Boomer would do well as an only cat but we think she would also adjust to a home with another cat friendly kitty if given time and slow introductions. Never give up! This little lady went missing in June and now 5 months later she has been found. We would never have known if she had not been micro-chipped. A big thank you to the person that fed her, gained her trust and fell in love with her.

The family includes one male kitten and the rest....all females ...yep, orange females are supposedly "rare" but we've seen more than our share this year alone! Remember this little family that our trappers secured a few weeks ago. Well little Eggs (orange) and Sugar (tabby) will be ready for adoption shortly. These two have done wonderful in their foster home considering they were born outside. Eggs is a social little guy, he loves to cuddle for hours with you on the couch. Sugar is a bit more reserved and unsure of herself. She loves playtime with her brother and loves to follow you around chatting up a storm. She is not sure about being picked up yet but we feel in time she will be very similar to her brother. This entire little family is finally indoors. It took us longer than we like to secure them but this was one smart momma cat. She moved her babies at least three times. We had to set up cameras to help pinpoint their location and just when we thought we had them she would move them again. Today was the magic day, volunteers went out at 4:00 am and just after 6:00 they had the remaining kittens trapped. Although the kittens were wet and cold they both look healthy and are now in the cozy comfort of a foster home. #straycatsofstratfordOntario #felinefriendsnetwork #dontleavethemomcatbehind

Another happy adoption update (with before and after photos) to enjoy with your Sunday morning coffee....Alice was a tiny kitten (much tinier than in the photo of her at left) who was discovered with her siblings in an old dog house at a family home in Listowel, ON - she and her siblings along with her mom Bella were all adopted into loving homes. Alice's family sent us this updated photo of Alice along with a message to let us know that she is a purrfect companion. Thanks Trevor for adopting and for the happy update.

STILL WAITING.....do you like "big" handsome male cats? How about lanky handsome vocal kitties that want to be in your presence or snuggling across your lap while you are watching TV? Georgie is a super big personality who is getting very attached to his foster mom. He settles in quickly and if you were hoping for a cat that could sit outside with you on the porch occassionally, he would enjoy that too. He likes to chat it up a bit when his foster mom gets home from work (...he must be telling her all about his day). At the end of July Georgie had a major surgery to prevent any further urinary blockage issues. He came through the surgery and recovered with flying colours! He will need to be on a special urinary diet for his lifetime but that's definitely not an issue for him as he loves his food. He would do best in a low stress setting (no other cats to compete with over food/litter box) but could possibly be ok in a home with a laid back cat friendly dog buddy. KIRA: Rescued by her fosters Lori and Tomas on a hiking trail in the middle of nowhere. No houses, no building, nothing. Its our belief that she was dumped there along with several other cats. These cats were in dire straits when found. Kira, 3-4 years old, only weighed 4 lbs, she has a severe leg injury that requires amputation. Even with the injured leg and pain she was enduring she knew a good thing when she saw Lori and Tomas following them along to safety. This is an extremely sad story about the suffering these animals endure. We are raising funds for her surgery so please check out our upcoming Christmas auction on November 12. Appropriately titled "Getting There"....we got this update from a cat lover in St. Marys, ON who is trying to help this stray grey boy that has been seen around the neighbourhood over the last two years......she has a nice set up for him in her garage after his neuter appt. but fingers crossed that he decides he wants to stay and makes his way into the house!

Hi, I’m Rasmus, and I’m available for adoption through Feline Friends Network. I’m a sweet boy, approx. 1-2 yrs old, and I like to talk to you and trill when you pet me. I’m a pretty confident boy and not at all shy to meet new people. I love affection but can become a bit over-excited, grabbing or lightly biting your hand (not hard enough to cause harm). For this reason, I’m probably not best suited to a family with children. Someone that has experience with cats and has t...he time and patience to get to know me and understand my attitude and body language would be best. I love playing and chasing toys, which helps me burn off some of that excess energy! You might notice that my tail is shorter than it once was. My Dr. says the injury has healed well. It’s not painful and it’s fine if you touch or stroke it when petting me! I was introduced to the resident female kitty in my foster home (through a crack in the door) and neither of us got hissy or upset, so I may do well in a home with other cats and possibly cat-friendly dogs. I’m very vocal and playful quite a little character, really! I have been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and provided with preventative deflea / deworm treatments. AND THE RESCUING continues (sigh.........) This sweet buff orange guy (and his siblings) were dumped at a country property outside Milverton. Unfortunately the others were not to be found when our volunteer got there today. We are hopeful that they were just making themselves scarce and that with the help of the live trap left behind, we will be able to help the rest of them too. But this special little guy (who is currently nameless) did not have to be trapped....he was more than happy to be picked up and brought indoors. Good thing too...he has a bad wound (likely a bite wound) on his tail that will need the attention of a vet.

Earl. 5-7 years old.

ALL HEALED UP! Yep, Earl was supposed to have his dental surgery to remove all 4 broken canines plus clean up of a few root tips (from previous missing teeth) on Oct 30/2020. We asked to be put on a wait list if there were any cancellations and lucky us....we were able to get Earl in for his dental appt. at the beginning of September! Earl's surgery went well and he has recovered with flying colours! His foster mom reports Earl is a real people oriented guy, following the...m around the house (and keeping a close eye on them out the window when they are out doing yardwork too). We think Earl would be quite content to be an "only" pet to someone who is home to spend lots of quality time with him but would also be happy to have the company of another cat friendly feline. We don't know Earl's age but best guess has been between 5-7 yrs.
