DID YOU KNOW WHAT YOU EAT actually affects your mood! . First: there are foods that can make your mood WORSE, and if you eat too much of them, they can leave you feeling tired, cranky, bloated, and blah! . These foods generally have very little nutrition for the amount of calories they contain, and they can affect your body’s systems, including your digestion AND your blood sugar levels. ... . This isn’t to say you should stay away from your favourite treats, but it’s probably a good idea to enjoy them in small amounts that KEEP them enjoyable, and don’t send your body into overdrive trying to digest them or handle the sugar influx! . Second let’s talk about the foods that actually HELP with moods: specifically, healthy fats and vitamin B12. Studies show these can make a difference in many people. . You can get both healthy fats and vitamin B12 from fatty fish like salmon, tuna, and mackerel, along with grass-fed beef and fortified eggs. . On the plant side of things, you can get healthy fats from flaxseed, nuts, and avocados. It’s very hard to get B12 from a plant source since it’s primarily found in animal proteins. . Basically, eat a healthy, whole foods diet with enough healthy fats and B12! . Does that sound doable? They piled up and wreaked havoc on many people’s mindset, focus, and motivation. ... . It made our day-to-day world SMALLER. Even physically, because many of us didn’t even leave our homes for quite a while. . On a positive note, the craziness of the past year helped reset our priorities so that we were able to hone in on what mattered most to us. . And for the most part, that meant the basics things like, our FAMILY, our HOMES, and our HEALTH. . HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE! . I want to talk about something today that can set the tone for your ENTIRE YEAR. . It can help you make great decisions set your priorities and stick to them and even help you achieve your goals!... . PLUS it can even help you feel GREAT in the process. AND NO, it’s not an energy drink or a miracle cure! . OK, so what is this amazing tool I am talking about? . It’s your FOCUS WORD for 2021. . I’m going to tell you my word in a minute... but first I want to talk about WHY setting your WORD FOR the year is such a good exercise. . Your word will set the tone for the entire year. It’s basically your 2021 mantra. It’s your intention. . Examples of focus words could be something like STRONG, or RENEW, or TRANSFORM, or INSPIRE. . Whatever word you choose, it should align with your goals and also, maybe MOST importantly, make you feel GOOD when you say it. . Words with a strong emotional response will keep you feeling excited and fired up! . First, having JUST ONE WORD to keep in mind is simple and reminding yourself of the word every day will help you stay on track. . As York Region enters a 'Modified Stage 2' Fight Fitness is now a Sanctioned Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) approved by the Work Amateur Kickboxing Organization (WAKO Canada) and our in person services will stay in operation. . Being an approved PSO means a few things:... . We MUST follow the guidelines provided by WAKO Canada which we have already followed since re-opening. . All clients wishing to participate in-person MUST register as a recreational member with WAKO. . This allows for COVID tracing in case there is anyone that tests positive. . There is a $10 registration fee that we will be billing to your accounts as you come in person. .
