MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS: Next up is Bailey Lucille Madill, Instructor and Administrative Assistant. Originally from Kamloops, BC, at age 16 Bailey moved to Vancouver to study at Goh Ballet Academy. She finished her professional training with Coastal City Ballet and in The Richmond Academy of Dance’s professional ballet division, working with many revered teachers and ballet pedagogues during her time in these institutions. In 2013, Bailey was an apprentice for Joshua Beamish’s ...full length work Pierced, and the following year worked as a mentor for his Telus Youth Mentor Project. She began her professional career dancing with Ballet Kelowna, under the direction of Simone Orlando, as well as with Citie Ballet (now Ballet Edmonton) under the direction of Jorden Morris. She has loved performing in many classical ballets, as well as in new works by Shawn Hounsell, Heather Myers, Simone Orlando, Heather Dotto, Jorden Morris, and Heather Laura Gray, among others. Bailey was a dancer in Vancouver Opera’s Turandot choreographed by Renaud Doucet, and danced as a soloist in Ballet Ouest de Montreal’s Nutcracker, touring throughout Quebec. Most recently, she had the pleasure of dancing in Joshua Beamish’s World Premiere of a contemporary ballet titled @giselle; alongside artists of American Ballet Theatre and the National Ballet of Canada, and in an episode of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist on NBC, choreographed by Mandy Moore. Bailey loves teaching dance to people of all ages and ability levels alongside her career as a performer. She is always excited to work with each couple to create a magically memorable first dance, and a comfortable and fulfilling experience in the studio! See more

MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS: Next up is Caitlin Griffin, Instructor and Special Events Choreographer. Caitlin Griffin is best known for her work as a ballet and contemporary dancer and has spent the last fourteen years dancing independently and for companies including Les Grands Ballets Canadiens (Gradimir Pankov), MOVE: the company (Joshua Beamish) and Margie Gillis’ (Member of the Order of Canada) Legacy Project Company.... In 2010 she danced in The Olympic Opening Ceremonies with members of Ballet BC and Alberta Ballet (Jean Grand-Maitre). In 2012 the BC Arts Council awarded Caitlin with a Professional Development grant enabling her dance in Israel for 5 months with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company Dance Journey Program (Rami Be’er, Mika Webber). In 2019 Caitlin was selected by the Canadian Wilderness Artist Residency as one of just 10 artists to participate in the creative residency while paddling the Yukon River and meeting local artists. Also an award winning choreographer of ballet and contemporary dance for stage and screen, Caitlin’s work with Team Canada West (Danielle Gardner) received 4 gold medals at international competition in Poland. Caitlin’s choreography has been presented by The City of Vancouver: Open Air Biennale, 12 Minutes Max, The Dance Centre Open House, Dances for a Small Stage, The City of Coquitlam, The North Vancouver Community Arts Council, The BC Children’s Hospital ‘A Night of Miracles’ and The ROMP! Festival among others. Caitlin is a guest instructor, often invited to teach across central and western Canada for companies, professional training programs and at conventions for students of all ages. She currently teaches at Harbour Dance Centre where her unique classes use imagery to understand the physics of ballet technique. Caitlin’s work in the community includes her ongoing mentorship by Margie Gillis in Conflict Transformation strategies for personal, societal and global change, hosted annually by Stella Adler Studios in New York City. Caitlin is also the founder of #hdisfordancing, an initiative to raise awareness for the Huntington Disease Community in Canada through dance.

MEET OUR INSTRUCTORS: First up is our Main Instructor and Consultation Assistant, Kyle Toy Kyle Toy’s dance career began at Canada’s prestigious National Ballet School, and soon spread to several other styles and mediums. His dance company credits include Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Ballet Victoria and the Canadian Opera Company. In addition to his strengths as a classical and contemporary dancer, Toy headlines a Michael Jackson tribute show as the King of Pop himself, to...uring nationally with high-profile corporations such as Rogers Telecom and performing private events for celebrities like Sarah MacLachlan and Hollywood Foreign Press Association Chairman, Ruben Nepales. Toy’s choreographic work has been produced throughout Vancouver, and he has acted as a co-choreographer in the Sony Pictures feature film Center Stage: Turn it Up (Ethan Stiefel, Kenny Wormald). Toy has also appeared in Hollywood films, on hit TV shows, in commercials, and danced as a Featured Professional Performer in the XXI Vancouver Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony dancing with Alberta Ballet alongside recording artist Sarah McLachlan. Kyle is an incredible artist and kind and supportive teacher you will love every moment of your studio time with him!
