We had amazing lessons with Travis Smith Friday and Saturday . Every horse and rider made significant progress with their goals such as: - Calm lope transitions and maintaining it nicely for Dexter, - Schooling recently backed reiner Honey, - Improving second level dressage lateral work for Surprise, and - Teaching beautiful standard bred Max to canter (video attached). ... Standard breds are known for their great temperaments but it can be challenging to get them cantering. After only a couple of sessions with Travis, Jess Macdonald's Max is reliably picking up canter and even doing some nice transitions. Talented rider Alisia Allan took the reins on Saturday and continued the training with Travis coaching.
