Let's talk about food waste. It happens, not often for us, but it does happen. I have my weekly order coming in today and Friday mornings mean cleaning out the cooler! While I'm serving dill pickle soup and our small lunch menu daily again, I'm starting to find my groove and some extra time.... Today to make room for new carrots, I'm mixing up some mini carrot cakes to sell tomorrow! Even during the best of times, food waste is difficult. Now more than ever, we're trying to head it off with fun little things like this. It will be avaialble tomorrow Saturday October 3, in limited quantities. FCFS

Since we opened 3 years ago, the staff at Riverview Middle School have supported us. Teachers often come in for donuts and warm drinks, they bought mugs, gift certificates and always offered us encouragement and wonderful sentiments. As I dropped off reusable cloth masks and disposable masks for the students and staff today I was taken back by "Just in time too, we have some left from McDonald's and we are running out"... We were hit hard by Covid-19 and its effects on everyone, but because of company's like @freshbcfruit we managed to offer some delivery and grow our following. We first approached @creeture82 and @thephoenixfox about donating our revenue stream from our Steve and Dan delivery sales, but when we heard our local school and its students and staff were heading back to a new reality for this school year, we decided to divide this charitable budget so we could support both. We hope that all of you going into classrooms, hospitals and all of the frontline workers have what you need to feel safe. We hope you are being treated with respect and care. Thank you to those of you ordering donuts on Steve and Dan's online market. You can find the link in our website link. They deliver to Edmonton Friday and Sunday. We make the donuts fresh in the morning and they are picked up and delivered to you by them. There are many great vendors there that you can check out and support.
