Well it is finally done! Sapiando Mexicano Mural! It was born from the idea to bring some colours to the bar. We used more than 500 pics and spent over a year and a half to put it together. That was something! I thought it was going to be easy! Had a couple of old magazines on hand, some books with dust and it would be done and done! Simple Maple Syrup! I was inspired at the beginning but it is a big wall so I stopped doing it. First, I got overwhelmed with the project. ...Secondly, I got disappointed and frustrated because Covid19 restrictions. Plus, let’s face it, I thought it was the end of Frisaca, oh yeah!! I did. No más su casa. Adiós muchachos!! Lol. Uncertain times uncertain thoughts. I was hoping restaurants and bars would be allowed for dine in to show and tell you about it! I guess will have to wait until further noticed!! Maybe One day or one night perhaps! Salud! Carne Asada Tacos. We use juicy top sirloin steak sautéed with freshly grilled white onion!! Super delicious! Handmade tortillas on the side, (cause we don’t want them to get soggy). Finally, we top it off with freshly chopped cilantro, onion and lime and salsa taquera on the side. Practically Perfecto! If that makes sense, ( if not that’s ok! We got you, Lol.) Day two. Día de los Muertos La Despedida. Luisa La Catrina showed up today to celebrate the last day of our Ofrenda. Join us and say goodbye to our departed loved ones, until next year when the bridge to the land of the dead, reopens again. See you then. Salud!

Tu calaverita! Our skulls are a representation of you, them, me, everyone. We name them after a person we like, love, dream or think of. Traditionally they are made with sugar, chocolate, and amaranth. They are edible gifts, but some (like ours) are made with paper. We are celebrating El Dia de los Muertos week! This our Ofrenda, to honor our departed loved ones!! This is a powerful and indestructible bridge in time and space. Family is beyond death. El Día de los Muertos, is a huge celebration where we remember and talk to our people that have passed away before our eyes.... Traditionally speaking, we make fun of the Death. We dance and drink under the spell of the moon! We are untouchable and fearless. She cannot touch our love. Memories are our history and future!! Let’s drink tequila!! Vamonos!!
