Welcome to another addition of our Resident Highlight! We will be highlighting the wonderful residents who make Garden Villa the home we are so proud of. This week's feature is...... I came to live at Garden Villa in July of 2011. I am now in my 10th year and I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. If you are looking for a nice, gentle place to live Garden Villa is it where you can do just about anything you can think of. I turned 100 in July 2020 and I wouldn’t change anything about the last 10 years here for anything else. I am happy here and I have always been happy here. I have so much to be thankful for. I have caught up on all my knitting for the upcoming winter so now I can take a little time off." -Helen H.

Garden Villa welcomed Kim Merkley of House of Lazarus Community Outreach Mission to accept a donation of $215 for the HOL Food Bank. HOL is heading into a busy season providing for those who need a little hand. Garden Villa is blessed to be able to contribute to HOL.

Garden Villa is presently at Alert Status rating from RHRA. Under this status we will be resuming indoor scheduled visitations with residents in our designated area. Each resident may have one visitor per week. Please call ahead to schedule a visit. Residents are permitted to leave the premises for essential outings.... Please call should you have questions or concerns. 613-448-1116

Effective immediately Garden Villa has ceased all indoor visitations with residents as we have been directed to do so by the Health Authorities. The Eastern Ontario area has been updated to High Alert Status. The following guidelines are implemented as of this morning:... No indoor visitation permitted. Window visits must be conducted via telephone from outside a resident’s window or patio door. Windows and patios MUST REMAIN CLOSED AT ALL TIMES during a visit. Window visitors are required to wear a mask at all times. Residents are only permitted to leave the premises for necessary medical appointments We sincerely appreciate your continued support and understanding

Welcome to our Resident Highlight! We will be highlighting the wonderful residents who make Garden Villa the home we are so proud of. Stay tuned in the weeks to come.... Our First Feature is..... I was a teacher for 25 years before stopping to raise three children on our family farm. I enjoyed my career and would not change it for the world, I still get called Mrs. Kerr from past students. I moved to Garden Villa to be close to my family in North Dundas. I am able to plan my own time, I enjoy knitting and puzzles and I stay in touch with family by phone and Facebook. Facebook is a wonderful means to stay in touch see pictures and videos during this pandemic. I do recommend the staff and home of Garden Villa; people often say ‘there’s no place like home’ but this is the next best to it! I am very happy here and so is my family. -Helen K.

Oktoberfest Celebration with The International Set!

The status of the Eastern Ontario Health Unit area has been updated to "Alert". The following are details of our new guidelines: * Residents are only permitted to leave the home for necessary medical appointments * A maximum of 1 general visitor per resident per week in our designated visiting station... * Social activities and gatherings within the home have been suspended * Non essential services have been suspended Please note this direction can change at any given time as it unfolds to Garden Villa. All residents have been provided with written information about the changes. We are working through all directives at this time in the best interest of our residents and your loved ones.
