Somehow the oil intake got blocked on this 12 cylinder pump which restricted the camshaft from getting lubrication and as a result, it split in half. Luckily our Pump Technician Ivan was able to do a full rebuild, making it as good as new and saving the customer from having to buy a brand new pump, which would have cost 8 times more than the rebuild.

We have one of the best warehouse teams out there! Every day they pick, pack and ship hundreds of orders to our customers all around the world. Here's a two-hour video time-lapsed into a little over a minute during their "peak" time of day.

Our turbo team did a rebuild on this pair of turbos for a 138-foot catamaran called the "Cascadia". The Cascadia is part of a small fleet owned by Maple Leaf Adventures who offers luxurious cruises that explore the coast of British Columbia and Alaska.

Here we have a big 12 cylinder pump we have in for a full rebuild! We took lots of photos and videos of this guy so keep an eye out for more footage!

The discolouration shown in the second photo tells us that the compressor wheel split due to low cycle fatigue. When it split it took out the compressor housing along with it.

Weighing in at over 100lbs, this beast of a pump came from a whale watching boat from a customer in BC. It's a Yanmar 6 cylinder pump from a turbocharged diesel fuel marine engine. After taking it apart, our service technician extraordinaire Dave discovered large amounts of rust on the inside. He cleaned it, replaced the rusty camshaft, barrel and plungers, and tappet rollers. After being painstakingly rebuilt and recalibrated, the pump got a shiny new coat of paint a...nd it's as good as new. A unique job well done that's now on its way back to BC! With hundreds of years of experience in our shop, there's pretty much no job that we aren't able to tackle and we've used that expertise and technical knowledge to help customers out all around the world. Look closely. A blown injector tip!?! How did this happen? Diesel fuel is vital in lubricating the injectors as they are working. As water passes through the injector it is not providing lubricity and with the high fuel pressures and tight tolerances used in todays injectors, the plunger can start to stick and wear resulting in blow-by in the injector. Trapped air or vapour can create up to 50% greater forces on the injector tip. As the fuel comes out the injector tip u...nder high pressure the entrained air or vapour can also act much like an acetylene torch, eroding the injector tip. These two things in combination can lead to the injector tip breaking off.
