We've heard your binding questions and made videos about them. Check out the G3 University video library for answers to questions like, "Should you ski with your toe locked out on a tech binding?" Spoiler alert, if you are skiing in an ION or ZED binding, the answer is no! Only on the rarest of occasions would you ever want to ski with your toe locked out. Get our full answer in our video from G3U. Even though this video only highlights the ION binding, it applies to the ZED as well. #g3gear #g3ion #g3zed #techbinding #skitouringbinding #skibinding #backcountryskiing #backcountryskigear #skigear

A week ago @jul_cb and @brendanmorden found this slice of snowy paradise in BC. Winter is on. #skibc #backcountry #backcountryskiing #skitouring #fallturns #earlyseasonpow
Meet this years updated ROAMr! It now features patent-pending magnetic contact points to speed up bootpack transitions and eliminate the need for a strap when shouldering. The skis include 2 full layers of Titanal aluminum, our lightweight wood core, PolyUrethane sidewalls and a low profile design. The tighter turn radius initiates quickly and creates a snappy, reactive and ultimately playful experience on all snow conditions. A great choice for anyone looking to ski in and out of bounds without missing a step.

Just in case @backpackermag’s editor pick for the Via Carbon Pole wasn’t enough, @jasmincaton who is an accomplished ACMG guide and ski shop owner has a first hand review for you. #skipoles #g3viacarbon #g3via #viapole #touringgear #backcountryskigear #skitouring #skitouring
The G3 Via Carbon Pole has been selected as @backpackermag’s Editors Pick - here’s what Backpacker is saying about it: Everything about this pole is engineered to facilitate your touring experience, he (editor) says. From the pole head to the grip to the shaft, it’s the complete package. The hard plastic top has a chunky, hooked head that’s perfect for flipping heel risers and boot buckles or clearing snow off your skis. It’s more substantial than similar designs on oth...er poles we’ve used, and makes those processes all the easier. (Bonus: The wrist straps are easily removable via a buckle, so you can take them off for backcountry days and easily reattach them to use the pole in the resort.) #backpackermagazine #backpackermag #backcountryskiing #skitouring #skipoles #skigear

September Snow Mission: first hand account by @jonesaidan @syd_desmarais and I set off to find September snow late Friday afternoon. After a couple of wrong turns and some rough roads, we reached our goal, arriving at the base of Farnham Glacier. After hastily setting up camp in the dark and a quick dinner we called it a night. After a leisurely morning of coffee and inspecting the last river crossing on the road we chose to walk from the campsite to the toe of the glacie...r. Accompanied by our dogs Beamer and Izzy we looked for the simplest access we could find and once on the ice began the trek to the snow. Once on the snow, we made our way most of the way up the South East side of Farnham Glacier. From here Syd got on her board and I stepped into my skis and the fun began. The snow was far better than expected, with minimal sun cupping and plenty of turns. Once we had our fill and the dogs were played out, we made our way back down to our campsite. From here we picked up the bikes in an attempt to ride a rock face we had seen on the walk-up in the morning. Sadly, the rock face wasn’t as ridable as it first appeared. Not to be deterred I proceeded to ride the scree next to the face. Satisfied with our day we loaded into the truck and returned to the valley bottom and set up camp. The next day the smoke rolled in and we chose to return home to Fernie and plan the next adventure. #septemberskiing #skimountaineering #summerskiing #skiyearround #dogsthatshred
