GRID Training is happening all over the world including Nairobi! We received this email from our representative in Kenya, showing his appreciation for the Zoom evangelism training session Dr. Derrick Mueller led for local Kenyan leaders last week. Even during COVID, the hand of God is working in mighty ways in East Africa! "Greetings! I thank God for the success of the digital training last week. The attendance was high and about 40% were attending such a training for the f...irst time! Participants were understanding of the material and very eager to put into practice what they were taught. As well, the number of people on the screen was encouraging to the participants. They realized that none of the international people left before Dr. Mueller was complete with his presentationeven though it was very early in the morning! This was the first meeting we had since COVID began in March last year. To stay safe, we gave the participants face masks and sanitizers. They were also happy that we provided them with 10am tea, lunch and a bottle of water. We gave each of them three Hope magazines, a handout of the notes and a bookmark. In the morning hours, we had time to do a devotion together, pray for each other, SWG and the mission ahead of us. By early next week we shall be meeting to prepare for evangelism. I am 59 years old and I have been serving God for 15 years. Up until now, I never had a Bible. I would borrow someone s ripped, worn Bible and read the New Testament. Today God sent me my very own new Bible and I am so happy because now I will continue to read and find what God has for me. My husband is 62 years old and he does not know God, but now with this Bible, I am going to be able to show him God’s love for us. I want to say thank you to the donors.
