Dr. Shazia Alavi from Grandview Medical Centre, Assistant Professor of McMaster University, was concerned of spreading COVID-19 to her elderly parents because o...f her daily exposure at work. Watch her talk about vaccine hesitancy, safety, and how she was quickly able to get her parents through the vaccination process. "When the Region of Waterlooannounced they were going to roll out the vaccine to people over the age of 50, I was quick to pre-register them. It was a pretty easy process. The form was simple. You could fill it out yourself or get someone to fill it for you." Waterloo Region Immigration Partnership You can watch Dr. Alavi's video in Urdu as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSkv7NaaSgU

New telephone number for CMH COVID Assessment Centre Cambridge, Ontario Cambridge Memorial Hospitals COVID-19 Assessment Centre changed its telephone number ...today to 519.740.4975. This was done to help manage the calls coming in to the centre. The preferred method to reach the CMH COVID-19 Assessment Centre remains by email at [email protected]. Individuals preferring to call will have three prompts to choose from when connecting with the assessment centre by phone: Press 1 to register for your booked appointment when you arrive at the assessment centre for a test Press 2 to schedule an appointment Press 3 to cancel an appointment Also note that due to the demand for COVID testing and the availability of laboratory resources to complete the tests, CMH is prioritizing requests from individuals who are symptomatic and those referred by Public Health or by a health care professional to meet ministry guidelines. No one will be refused testing. People who are asymptomatic may wish to get tested once the surge in volume declines or when our systems capacity expands.
Please advise that our phone are very busy today due to a high volume of calls to book flu vaccine appointments. As a reminder you can visit our website to book your flu vaccine appointment as well, thanks.

Do you need a mask? Wearing a mask helps reduce the spread of infection and helps to keep our community safe. For some time now CMH has been providing all pati...ents and visitors with a fabric mask to wear while in hospital courtesy of the Cambridge Mask Makers. Starting this Monday, a new bylaw comes into effect requiring masks to be worn indoors in most public places. If you need a mask, please visit the screening booth at the Main Entrance of CMH, in the new A Wing between the hours of 7 am and 8 pm. One of the friendly screeners will be happy to provide you with a fabric mask made by the Cambridge Mask Makers. We want everyone to have access to a mask. Thanks to the Cambridge Mask Makers weve got you covered! #fabricmask #ourcmh #wearamask See more
