On Sunday GOOD ROBOT TURNS SIX! Robie the Robot is learning to tie their shoes and getting ready for grade 1! (And if you're one of the first 50 guests to purchase an online order on Sunday, you may be getting a little surprise) This will be our second pandemic birthday! Not an ideal moment in history to be sharing beer and camaraderie with our friends.... So, imagine our surprise when our GoRoCorp Satellite picked up the following message that was sent to us from 90 years in the future: Press Release: Good Robot Brewing Co. Birthday: May 9 , 2111 AD Good Robot turns 96 today. When you drive past our 200 acre theme park and beer pong stadium in your flying car or admire the graffiti covered statues of our late co-founders in Parade Square or see one of our smiling delivery drones hovering outside your window you might not realize that everything wasn’t always so magical for Canada’s Happiest Brewery. The year was 2021 and Good Robot was celebrating their sixth birthday during the second year of the first great pandemic of the 21st century. The future of small businesses all over the world were in jeopardy, survival was hard and the future was uncertain but the human spirit in Halifax’s North End burned with the heat of a thousand Tesla Brand Flame Throwers. The hardship only made their community stronger and Good Robot was humbled by the warmth of the friends and family that surrounded them. Ninety years later, Good Robot still offers their sincere thanks to all of you. We persevered together.

The Campari IPA: - 2-3 large ice cubes in a rocks glass - 1oz campari... - 10oz of Good Robot's Creature Feature or Uncle Giggles - Splash of sparkling orange juice - Rim with orange peel and drop in the drink If you give it a try at home, let us know! Another Monday, another day to plan for the weekend. Introducing the Mint Berry Gin Rickey, made with Good Robot's The Fizz Mint Berry. You can order any of our Fizz flavours from goodrobotbrewing.ca. Other flavours can be found for delivery as well at Harvest Wines and Spirits. Ingredients: - 1 can of MintBerry Fizz Seltzer... - 1 cup of blackberries - 2oz Nova Scotia Spirit Co. Willing to Learn Gin - 2 Tsp honey - Juice of 2 limes - Mint leaves to taste Place a handful (about 10-12) of blackberries in the bottom of each cocktail glass. Add a teaspoon of honey, a few mint leaves, and a squeeze of lime juice to each glass. (Add more honey if you like sweeter cocktails...up to one tablespoon per cocktail.) Muddle blackberries until coarsely pureed. Add 1 1/2 ounce gin to each cocktail glass. Squeeze the juice of one lime into each glass. Add crushed or cubed ice to the glass. Top each cocktail with 8 ounces of Good Robot’s Mint Berry Fizz Fermented Seltzer and stir. Top with mint leaves and lime for garnish.

Abigail Was Here is moving quick! Good Robot’s new Lemon Blueberry Saison was designed by Chelsea B and Evelyn White. Abigail Price was a pioneering free Black woman whose stately home near the Tusket River still stands. This beer honours her legacy. There is very little information on Abigail Price but after talking with Evelyn, we’ve learned a few things. Abigail Price was a free Black woman who probably immigrated to Canada from the US along with other black loyalists over... 200 years ago. She was a widow who owned this home, and sold it by signing the deed with an ‘X’. After the sale of the house, Abigail Price disappeared without a trace. We wonder where she went. The beer is a fruited saison with blueberry puree and lemon zest added. It tastes fruity and citrusy, clovey and a little like home. Pairs well with sour candy. Seriously. Try it out. Although Hello City is generally used to making things up as we go, this year has been a weird one for everyone. We've missed so many shows, and will be missing more in the upcoming months. We want to make up for all this lost time while we can- and in the only way we know how. At Hello City Presents: The 26 Hour Improvathon. The thing everyone's been asking for. Our mailboxes are full of requests to do specifically 26 hours of improv on stage. So that's what we've decided t...o do. We will be performing in the Mousetrap, the upstairs bar at Good Robot, as well as live streaming the whole show! We looking to raise some money for some local causes, so 50% of proceeds will go towards some causes near and dear to our hearts.
