Working in the shop on a customers boat. I’ll tell ya, I’ve been using three new additions to the shop today for this job, the Mill, the lathe, and the metal bandsaw to make the project better, more accurate, and more time efficient. Customers will certainly benefit from this equipment as we can offer things many others can’t. With a full line of tools we don’t do things the best we can, we do them the best they can be done. It is my wish that our customers feel this satisfaction when they have their boat done at Gt. Hey Folks check out the feathers and now a new saw-blade with a couple of German shepherds on them. These are hand painted folks and the prices are pretty ridiculous considering how much work they are. And She donates a portion to the money to Veterans of Canada! The walleye fishing is still good and the perch will be schooling up soon. Shout out to our pal Tyler Sewell who placed 2nd at CBAF/TBF Semi-Final for co-angler out of Port Colborne. On Lake Ontario theres some good action to be had offshore still for rainbows and juvenile salmon out in 200-...300 fow. Fish fast with spoons until you find them. Who doesnt love brown trout? This time of year browns are roaming back in the shallows as they also somewhat "stage" like salmon do before they will enter rivers & harbors soon to spawn. For the next couple weeks you can connect with them using spoons & flasher flies. Shore anglers have been getting some already by casting spoons too. Weekend recap! Well we certainly are transitioning into fall now. Some fantastic fishing to be had, but its all about capitalizing on the windows of opportunity. Lots of salmon in close to shore now & in the rivers/harbors. Also hearing of some browns being caught too. On Erie walleye fishing is still good and the bass is good & will be getting better too. For many fall = Musky. Niagara River has been good lately so has St Clair. And of course bear, goose & dove season is open. Waterfowl, deer & moose coming soon too. Couple of tracks and plugs for cannons. It all looks easy and some times it is. Not this one. Track was going on a foam pad so I decided to make six pucks to sink in to the foam to connect better with the substrate. If I just installed it on the foam it would have needed to be tightened multiple times till it sunk all the way down and then the foam squishing up would have been hacked up each time the risers were taken off. I may have been able to remove the pad but we all kno...w how that would have gone. Also when Installing the plugs they were a little too large for the face so I opted to turn them upside down and allow the two bottom screws to grab good meat. Like I said it looks easy but planning an offset that ends up flush with the top bend in the panel on both sides equally is tedious. One chance. Of course there are good backing plates under each small track to share the load over a larger area. Cheers folks still on the boats. Started in January this year and continues on. See more

Long weekend recap! Salmon fishing for the big stagers is in full swing now. Some good action to be had still for the next couple weeks from Niagara to Port Credit. John Mastrandrea from @salmonlimitedsportfishing and his client Calvin Austin now leads the @scgfa Splash For Cash Summer Salmon Derby with a massive 36.50lbr! The 3x3 Salmon Classic was won by @fishmasters_sportfishing_ . Over on Lake Erie the walleye fishing is still good out in 80fow as well in shallower. The Wagon Walleye shootout in Dunnville was won by Chris Green. The bass fishing has been good and will be getting better. Good to see our pal Adrian still on em. Mon noon-2pm. You must weigh your fish the same day they are caught. No holding fish overnight. Please do not call the SCGFA asking for updates. We will post the top 5 team weights & daily big fish winner Sat & Sun around 930pm. Scales close at 2pm on Monday. Prizes to be awarded shortly after at the ramp. Please be respectful of social distancing around the scale/ramp/club property when possible. No speeding in the harbour/channel. There are no tickets this year. Sorry for the delay but heres the weekend recap. Numbers of mature salmon are now hanging around the harbor/river mouths. The northeast part of the lake has been good lately and the SW corner from Niagara-Port Credit should be getting better. There is still some good action to be had offshore 200-300fow for a mixed bag of fish.
