Today is #WorldWaterDay We use water in our everyday lives to drink, bathe, play, and more. Our use of water is sometimes so ordinary that we don’t think of i...ts impact. World Water Day is a day to remind ourselves about the value of water and how we can be sustainable in its use. Dr. Kevin McCann, recently named a member of the Royal Society of Canada, is a #UofG researcher whose work is helping protect our aquatic ecosystems. He studies the role of biological structure in mediating the sustainability and functioning of whole ecosystems. Dr. McCann is recently focusing his attention on sustainability under global change, working in fisheries, agro-ecosystems, human microbiome, and food production.
