UPCOMING WORKSHOP at Harmony. Yoga Workshop for Menopause Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020 --1-3 p.m. ~ $30.00 (incl. gst). Menopause is a gradual process that may extend over several years. As part of the natural aging process, the body produces smaller and smaller quantities of reproductive hormones. The decline of estrogen and progesterone triggers minor changes in the bones, skin and circulatory system. Workshop will include the practice of asana, learning pranayamas specific to menopause along with some suggested mantras and mudras to have a stabilizing effect and to help with hormonal imbalances. Harvesting from my garden is all done, except for tomatoes still ripening. Good news, as my freezer is FULL!
Below is a photo of my Vegan Gluten-Free Pumpkin Muffins. YUM! YUM! Vegan and Gluten-Free Pumpkin Muffins Yield: 16 large silicone muffin cups... Ingredients: 2 Tbsp. flax seeds & 1 Tbsp. chia seeds mixed with 3 Tbsp. water 1/3 cup almond milk mixed with 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar 1 cup oat flour (buy oats and blend them yourself) 1 cup almond flour 1 tsp. baking soda tsp. baking powder tsp. salt 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. ginger 1 cup fresh pumpkin puree Little less than 1/3 cup pure maple syrup 2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 Tbsp. coconut oil cup raisins and cup walnuts (this is my combo, but you have only raisins, nuts or chocolate chips) Directions: Mix up the flax & chia seeds with water & let sit 15 minutes. Mix up the pumpkin, maple syrup, vanilla, almond milk with apple cider vinegar & coconut oil. Then add seed mixture. Then add all the rest of the dry ingredients. Then mix in your raisins, nuts or chocolate chips. Fill silicone cups 2/3 full, bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Delicious!
Finished drying out my herbs and into their jars (white sage, rosemary, oregano, marjoram, basil, fennel, raspberry and thyme). All those herbs are infused into my hands right now - so aromatic!
Made it into the Sun again, it is true I will be an excited voter.
