We are back with our #MeetUsMonday This week we have our amazing and passionate tasting room manager Carrie! Going on her 8th season with us Carrie is an integral part of our team at Harper’s Trail. A wealth of knowledge about wine and the industry Carrie is always our go to gal for all things wine! ... Make sure to pick her brain when you pop by the winery this summer!

At Harper’s Trail we are set to safely provide tastings as per BC's Public Health Officer orders that were announced Monday afternoon! Our outdoor patio has been set up to maximize safety, comfort and fun for our guests. While our wine shop is reserved for purchases only and use of the washroom, our covered patio is set up to welcome you and your group of up to six household members (as per COVID guidelines) to taste. ... Face coverings over the mouth and nose are required in all common areas until you have been seated and the tasting has commenced. With the weekend steadily approaching we encourage you to give us a call at (250)573-5855 to book a reservation as seating is limited. Please remember that tastings are outdoors so dress for the weather and bring your own blanket.

Let the magic begin Similar to this year and how things have unfolded, the 2020 vintage has offered various challenges. With the help of the community and a strong showing from our team, we were able to push through harvest and accomplish the tasks that we set out to do. Now that we are done harvest, part of our team continues to work in the vineyard burying canes and preparing for winter while the rest of the team is hard at work in the cellar ensuring our 2020 vintage is taken care of. The power of social media! You don’t know how far reaching it really is until you reap the benefits of sharing! Ed & Vicki Collett are beyond grateful for the response they have received since asking the community last week for help harvesting grapes. With an overwhelming response via texts, phone calls and DM’s, the team at Harper’s Trail apologizes if they have not been able to connect with you! At Harper's Trail we are known to have a few animals roam our grounds. Composing the backdrop to the vines are rolling hills of sage and antelope brush and majestic, mysterious hoodoos carved into clay banks. Bighorn sheep, mule deer, and bears graze and roam. The South Thompson River is on the vineyard's doorstep, with myriad birds, majestic eagles, bulrushes and beautiful wintering swans.
