Hat Art Club Spring Online Class Announcement The Hat Art Club is excited to offer a new spring online class, Abstracting from Life in Acrylic instructed by Ruth Adams. Participants will delve into 3 simple painting projects using acrylic, exploring glazing techniques, perspective, colour mixing, acrylic mediums, composition and design techniques. Participants will be guided through a different process each week, with instruction and support through multiple independent creat...ive steps. The resulting paintings will be entirely unique to each participant. All artistic skill levels are welcome. Thursdays via Zoom April 8, 15, 22, 2021 7:00-9:00 pm MST

New Spring Acrylic Painting Class for all Levels! "Abstracting from Life" in Acrylic Join instructor Ruth Adams as she leads participants through 3 creative painting projects using acrylic paint and exploring glazing techniques, perspective, colour mixing, acrylic mediums, composition, and design techniques. You will learn a different process each week, and the resulting paintings will be entirely unique to each participant. ... All three projects for this class are intended to be textured, and can be painted on new canvas (or recycled from paintings that for whatever reason didn’t work out - adding more great texture!) NOTE: If you might miss a class, know that each class is recorded, and will be available for two weeks, to view at your convenience. Class 1: "Ode to Paul Klee": Abstract Village in expressionist/cubist style. Class 2: "Abstracting the Organic Form": For this project you will develop a stylized surreal abstraction. Each person goes through the same process with an object of their choice, and every outcome is unique! Class 3: "Breathing New Life into an Old Work": Recycling an old acrylic piece, you will create a simple abstract landscape using texture over the "recycled" work.
