Simple rustic custom hiking knife for @wilton_9. 01 tool steel with stained ash, stacked leather and brass guard. Just needs a sheath!

Some nice blurry sneak peaks at some small "petty knife" prototypes. The ones with a "crows beak" and flat edge are for sneaking down deep into the peat to snip off a good amount of mushroom right by the mycelium while mushroom hunting. These are some quick shots before i force the patina. Burnt oak with Deer antler ring and green denim micarta for the handle.

An example of a bush-chopper concept. Ten inch blade forged from reclaimed high carbon steel, Jatoba handle with burlap micarta liners. Brass and copper pins. Blade is protected by a vinegar patina. I'll be testing this blade over the next few days.

Another reclaimed steel knife in the same style as the last one posted, but a little bit smaller all around. I haven't been able to drive up the dirt hill to the workshop for my day job the past few days due to weather, I thought I'd go back to my roots as a Shabby Chic/reclaimedwood/distressed style furniture maker for Dave Coyle Antique Reproductions for the handle inspiration. Pickled/weathered ash and charred oak with green liners. This knife and the last one I posted are prototypes. I'm trying to work out some designs I can consistently offer in the future. The handle on this one was also an experiment, with various woods from old cutting boards. Maple and Bamboo . This knife is 100 percent reclaimed material.
