I am sooooo excited to share these transformation photos. I often forget to take photos but I happened to take three different shots of this clients left foot on 3 different dates. Finally put them together and I am amazed at the transformation in this client’s involuted left great toenail. There is still some tenderness at times and I continue to manage the buildup in the corners, but hope is on the horizon. For anyone wondering or on the fence about OnyFix Nail Correcti...on System, I highly recommend it! Finally a nail bracing system I can feel confident in recommending to my clients. And it is so easy, quick and painless to apply. So far, all of the clients I have applied the product to are happy with their intermediate results. I have only started applying since July. I am so happy to say that the government mandated Covid-19 restrictions for Nursing Foot Care have now been lifted. I understand that so many of my clients have had to wait for many weeks for foot care and are likely suffering from painfully long nails, corns, calluses and ingrown toenails by now. You are no longer contagious 6 - 10 days after you test positive or start to have symptoms of COVID-19. It is no longer necessary to retest. The Duration of quarantine, if you were exposed and not tested, is still 14 days - otherwise it is 10 days for those testing positive or from the beginning of symptoms. If you get COVID-like symptoms later - none of those actually had COVID, so it appears you do have at least short term immunity. This is good for this coming winter when 95-99% of respiratory and fever illness will not be COVID-19, but the fear will be running high. Get tested or wait 10 days from the start of symptoms and even that 1 - 5% who are COVID-19 will no longer be contagious.

To all my loyal and valued clients and their family members. Our world, country, province and community are in very challenging and uncertain times with the recent Covid-19 outbreaks around the globe. This is causing so much upheaval and stress for every one of us and has touched every fabric of our society. As a nurse, my heart is pulled in so many directions with wanting to serve and care for my clients and considering the potential for transmission of infection to these ...vulnerable community members and their families, and also wanting to protect my own family members and myself so that I can continue to do what I love to do as a Foot Care Nurse. I have wrestled with this for days now, and have made the very difficult decision to suspend home and clinic visits effective immediately, in order to do my part to maintain and exemplify social distancing within our community and to protect my most vulnerable clients and their loved ones. For the time being, all home visit, retirement home, Longterm Care and clinic appointments are effectively cancelled from today until April 6. This may be extended further, as things progress, but it is my sincere hope that if all Canadians are proactive in social distancing, then this virus can be managed more effectively, and we can all return swiftly to the schools, jobs and social activities that we all enjoy and sometimes take for granted. I will be available for phone consultations for urgent matters and emergency visits on a case-by-case basis only, in following with Department of Health guidelines. In the meantime, my prayer is that each one of us will be there for one another in practical ways, from a distance, and continue to support and cheer on the health care workers who are living in the trenches of these challenging days. Enjoy this secluded time by building meaningful relationships with the loved ones in your home, take some time outdoors for all the health-giving Vitamin D you can get, take up a hobby, get your house clean and organized, call or write to a friend or loved one that you have been meaning to connect with in lifes busyness, exercise, enjoy relaxing music, read a good book, learn something new...so many options!
