The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum's Fall Fun Day has been canceled but we continue to offer some festive fun throughout the month of October. Our Community Pumpkin Carving Contest is still on and we are accepting entries until October 16. On any day we are open, take a leisurely walk through our grounds to view the carved creations and vote on your favourite one, take some photos, and complete an outdoor scavenger hunt. Pre-book an indoor Ghost Tour through eventbrite to... listen to some eerie tales. Enjoy some pre-packaged concession items for purchase. *Admission rates for indoor tours, no admission rates for outdoor activities. *COVID-19 Guidelines will be followed and participants are required to wear a mask when indoors. Don't forget to carve your pumpkins this week for our community pumpkin carving contest! The pumpkins will be lit up on the museum grounds for the public to enjoy from the 17th - 31st. We'll post the submissions online as well for those who aren't able to see them in person at our pumpkin walk. Due to the rising number of cases and for the safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors, the wagon rides for the Fall Fun Day event have been canceled. Our Fall Fun Day will still be filled with festive events. Enjoy some hot drinks and fall treats after touring the museum. Take some festive photos on the grounds and stop by a booth by the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario to enter in a chance to win a VIA Rail Voucher. Vote on your favourite jack-o-lantern while enjoying the pumpkin walk. We are still accepting Pumpkins for our Community Pumpkin Carving Contest! Send us a message and drop off your pumpkin entry by October 16. The winner will receive a Fall Themed Gift Basket. Admission by Donation.

The Smiths Falls Haunted Heritage House Museum CALL FOR ACTORS The Heritage House Museum is looking for volunteers to participate as actors in our Haunted House! Be front and center or behind the scenes as small groups enter the museum in the dark with only a flashlight to guide their way. Actors will be placed in a room and costumed to fit the theme. Actors must be ages 18 and up.... Please note: COVID Safety Guidelines will be strictly enforced for the safety of the public, volunteers, and staff. You will be asked to complete a short COVID screening before you enter the museum. Masks will be required while inside the Haunted House. The Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum will be running its Pumpkin Carving Contest this year! Individuals, families, businesses, or school classes can enter a carved pumpkin in order to win a Fall themed gift basket. All entries must be dropped off to the Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum by October 16, 2020. The pumpkins will be displayed at the Fall Fun Day on October 17 from 11 am to 2 pm where you can vote on your favourite one. The pumpkins will stay displayed and the ability to vote will continue until October 31.
